The Bear's captain Joffa lead his team to a convincing win over the Calgary Kangaroos in the second game of the WorleyParsons 2007 league. Sam "Tickets" McDermitt and new Roo Troy failed to lift their team with the Bears scoring at will at many times during the game. The Bears ran out eventualwinners 12.21.93 to Kangaroos 8.12.60 The two teams will face eachother next in the 2007 Stampede Footy Cup, July 7th at Marlborough Park. |

The Calgary Canadians, playing in the Bears’ jumpers, retained the Kelowna Footy Cup after defeating the BC Footy Canadians in sweltering conditions at Parkinson Field on June 2. Despite losing Big Jon (broken wrist), Smirle (hamstring), Byron (knee) and Josh Symonds (ankle) in their first game against the Vancouver Harps, the Calgary Canadians powered to a win over the youthful BC side with the help of some of the Red Deer players who suited up for Calgary. The final score was Calgary 4.9 (33) to BC Footy 3.3 (27). |
